Dave Horan taught in inner London secondary schools for about eleven years before working back-stage in West End theatre and then as Co-ordinator and Advice Worker at the Roger Casement community centre in Islington, closed following the withdrawal of its grant when the Liberal Democrats took control of the council. He now works for a London Labour M.P.
He is a member of the Unite union, and previously of BECTU and the NUT, and is particularly interested in housing, planning and employment matters.
‘Without adequate housing, people’s health and educational chances are seriously jeopardised, and any decent Labour councillor will do everything possible to ensure that the highest possible quality housing is available for ordinary people, especially those most in need. Additionally, every Londoner should be able to compete on an even level for work which pays well and offers reasonable terms and condition. These are my priorities both within the Labour Party and if elected to Camden Council’ |
